Earthquake Safety
Japan experiences frequent small earthquakes. You may feel a light tremor for a few seconds. Please stay calm and remain in your room. In most cases, it will stop shortly.
In the hotel
- Do not go outside until the shaking has completely stopped.
- Stay inside your room and protect your head with a pillow, bag, or your arms.
- Move away from windows, shelves, and objects that could fall.
- If you are using the IH cooktop, turn it off when it is safe.
- Open the door to secure an escape route after the shaking weakens.
- Do not use the elevator until safety is confirmed.
- If you are in the bath, stay calm and move carefully to the living area when safe.
